Silvia García Hernández

Silvia García-Hernández is Lecturer at the University of Alcalá. She holds a degree in English Philology and a PhD in Modern Languages, Literature and Translation from the University of Alcalá. Her main line of research focuses on contemporary narratives written by British women, an area where she has contributed numerous articles delving into the works of authors such as Hilary Mantel and Michèle Roberts. At present, her research is centred on contemporary historical fiction. Specifically, she explores how twenty-first-century British female writers employ different narrative perspectives and techniques to challenge the traditional historical narrative and incorporate the female experience into historical storytelling.
