
Historical Micro-story Contest
The first edition of the VOPAS Historical Micro-story Contest will be held from October to November 2024 to promote literary creation and contribute to the dissemination of the research project “Voices of the Past (VOPAS)” on the contemporary historical novel, which is being carried out at the University of Alcalá.
This activity is part of the XXIV Semana de la Ciencia Madrid.
Winners
Category A (3rd and 4th ESO students)
– 1st prize: Mariangel Isabella Castro Maldonado, from 4th ESO of IES Alonso Quijano, Alcalá de Henares, for the micro-story “La luz en los pequeños detalles”. Teacher: M.ª Carmen Cuenca Valderrábano.
– Runner-up: Mauro Bosch Arroyo, from 4th year of ESO at Colegio Antamira, Paracuellos del Jarama, Madrid, for the micro-story “El París de Japozzi”. Teacher: Mónica Miranda Borrachero.
Category B (Bachillerato students)
– 1st prize: Alazne Florido de la Cruz, from 2nd year of Bachillerato at the Humanitas Bilingual School, Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid, for the micro-story “El ocaso de la gloria”. Teacher: Rocío Martínez Sánchez.
– Runner-up: Ainara Bolívar Fernández, from 2nd year of Bachillerato at IES Alonso Quijano, Alcalá de Henares, for the micro-story “Las últimas horas en el búnker” (The last hours in the bunker). Teacher: M.ª Carmen Cuenca Valderrábano Story
